Danlee Wood Products is a family-owned custom cabinetry company built on a passion for woodworking, quality craftsmanship, and lasting relationships with our clients. We are recognized by the Cabinet Makers Association and woodworking industry leaders for excellence in custom cabinetry and design.
Since the beginning, our goal has been simple: deliver cabinetry that reflects thoughtful design, superior materials, and the kind of craftsmanship that stands the test of time.

Our Story
Danlee Wood Products was founded by father and son, Dan and Lee Reif, combining their names to create the Danlee brand.
Dan’s passion for woodworking began at a young age when he built pinewood derby cars alongside his father. That early interest grew into a lifelong craft.
During high school, Dan completed four years of vocational woodshop training, where a mentor recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue cabinetry professionally. After graduating, he attended Olney Central College, earning an Applied Science degree in cabinetry.
During college he participated in a woodworking competition where he was awarded the Golden Hammer, recognizing his craftsmanship and technical ability.
Following graduation, Dan returned to his hometown of Byron, Illinois where he worked at a custom cabinetry shop for nine years, refining his skills and gaining valuable experience.
Building Danlee Wood Products
Dan’s father, Lee Reif, brought over two decades of experience as a purchasing manager and business leader. Recognizing the opportunity to combine Dan’s craftsmanship with Lee’s business expertise, they launched Danlee Wood Products together.
In 1995, the Reif family built their first 3,200-square-foot production facility in Forreston, Illinois, starting with just three employees and a commitment to quality workmanship.
As demand for custom cabinetry grew, the company expanded its production facility in 2000 to support larger projects and continued growth.
After nearly two decades of partnership, Lee Reif passed away in 2017. Today, Dan continues to lead the company maintaining the same family values and commitment to craftsmanship that defined the business from the start.
